Welcome to the Amazing trip to Kunming!!!
Kunming is a place known for its beautiful and colorful places, which is also a place with the most ethnic minority in the world. The weather at there is mild and flower blooms all year round. It's the best place for summer vacation because of its chilling weather. Let's get started discovering 5 day 4 night's trip.
Arrival and first impressions!
When I arrived at Kunming Changshui International Airport, I was shocked by the mild weather there. It's not too cold and neither hot. The weather there is perfect. It feels like there's air conditioner above the place. After we arrived at the airport, we set off to our hotel and the journey took about 2 hours to reach there.
Exploring the City
Day 1:
After we arrived at our hotel, we went to a restaurant near our hotel that we can just walk to there. I thought the food will be delicious, but it turns out that their food wasn't that good to be honest. Their taste is a bit different than ours. We went back to our hotel after we finished having dinner and we have a good and simple day for the night.
Day 2:
We woke up at 6 to catch up with our itinerary. The ride took us about 4 hours to reach the next venue, which is an amazing place full of rocks. You might be thinking 'rocks'? Yeah, it's rocks. You might think looking at rocks will be boring, but no you are wrong. The place will truly amaze you. This place is the UNECO World Heritage with most spectacular views of natural land scape. Walking through the Stone Forest, it's easy to get lost because of its maze liking paths. The stone pillars are very height, some might even reach 40 meters. There's even a cave for you to explore. The paths there might be very narrow so it's a bit hard to walk and the tourist there were a lot you barely have space to walk. There's something there that amazed me. There are workers carrying tourist on a chair out of the cave. The paths are narrow slippery. We had a day and went back to our hotel.
Day 3:
For day 3 we went to Shangri-la City. Our first venue of the day is Tiger Leaping George. The place is known for the river there. The location of this venue is very special. It's located between the 2 valleys of the mountains. There are stories of a tiger jumping across the river the name 'Tiger Leaping George' comes from here. After that, we head off to our next venue, Ganden Sumtseling Monastery. It's a temple built by the Nahki ethnic. The place has three main temples, the one in the middle is the biggest. The temple is full of Nahki believes in their religion. Their religion is most likely the same as Buddhist. We had a long journey to walk to the bottom of the mountain to get to our car .......
We visited a landscape with animals known as Napahai Lake. There're movies that famous movie stars acted in this place. The most excited part is you get to ride on a horse to walk around the whole place. And you need to remember to look at your feet because there're a lot of poops on the ground. You can enjoy the views of mountains, grass, flowers, animals...... Last venue of the day, which is the most iconic place in Kunming, the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It has an altitude of 5,596 meters. Walking along the glacier's edge, I felt a sense of immense power of nature. The cold air and the dazzling sunlight reflecting off the ice. The best way to travel this place is by taking the cable car to the glacier park. The ride itself is thrilled, it gives you views of the mountain. According to Naxi, the mountain is the embodiment of a war god who protects the region. The whole trip at the mountain is splendid.
Day 5:
This is the end of the trip. Before we left, we have a bowl of most traditional and delicious food of them, Guo Qiao Mi Xian. I finally tasted the true and only taste that I never taste before. It's so good that I've ordered 3 bowls. After the meal, we set off to airport and went back to Kuala Lumpur. I wished I could stay longer there.
